Many modern bikes are using thru-axles on the front and rear. These thru-axles aren't compatible with many of the kid trailers out there though. The Robert Axle Project Kid Trailer Thru-Axle allows riders to attach a hitch mount style trainer to any thru-axle equipped bike. This axle is compatible with many trailers from brands like Thule, Burley, InStep, Croozer, and more.
